Introduction to Leadership Discussion

Being positive in a negative situation can be hard but the reward is great.

The anonymous quote jumped right at me. I tend not to use the term "leader" I don't like it. Everyone is a leader in their own way. We just have different ways to express it. If we are all working to a common goal then that's all that matters.

Being positive in a negative situation is my fav one because you never know who is watching. Being positive is also leading by example because if others see you being negative they are likely to follow.

The quote that resonates with me is the “Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader…” I follow leaders that want to help me better my craft and help guide me to another level. In our roles as lead teachers or directors we often want to dictate rather than educate. Our titles are just that we all have the desire to make a difference in something or someone. So it is always great to remember that a leader is only good as the people that follow.

The quote a real leader uses every issue, no matter how serious and sensitive, to ensure that at the end of the day we should emerge stronger and more united than before caught my eyes because dealing with children we face serious situations all the time and this just reminds me that no matter what we just have to come fourth stronger.

I like the quote that says leadership is about making a difference and reaching a goal. As well as the last one about inspiring others. It should be more about what can be achieved and how others can benefit.

The quote about a leader does not set out to lead they set out to make a difference. I like this quote the most because that exactly what teaching is, making a difference in a child's life.

The quote that really stuck out to me was the one about being positive in a negative situation. That is a rule I always live by. No matter what the situation is I always try to find the positive and make the situation less negative.

I relate to the quote that Ty Howard wrote. I think it's important to see that it doesn't matter what position you are in but what you do with it.

I think this is my style of leadership because I never think of myself as anyone's boss I view myself as a member of a team. When its time to get things done we do it as a team!

I relate to the quote that Ty Howard wrote, because anyone can be inspired, its what you personal do with the inspiration that counts.

I really liked the quote by Ralph Marston because I feel positivity is a key ingredient to leadership. There can be a situation that is so bad or negative, but if you stay positive throughout it, you will be able to think clearer and come up with a strategy to overcome.

I always apply the sayings about positive things in a negative situation base on my own experience and the things that I have been through, If we have this thoughts in our mind, we seldom feel bad even in a bad situation because I understand enough that if there is a will, there is a way. It is just a matter of making the best out of the situation, instead of making self too pressured of the things that is not cooperating at the moment.

The quote about being positive in a negative situation. I relate to that because I always try and look for the positive in everything. I especially look for the positives in my room, such as if someone if having difficulties with one thing I will bring up how well they do on another.

The quote about not trying to be a leader but trying to make a difference speaks to me the most. I started in child care 20+ years ago because I care about children and families. That is why I am still trying to do better all these years later.

I like the quote about being positive in a negative situation. With all of the daily hassles of running a child care business, staying positive is a necessity. The day I can no longer be positive is the day I hand over the keys to someone else!

The quote about empowering followers to “lead with passion” really speaks to me. I’m pretty sure I don’t do enough of that now, this quote helped remind me.
