Cultural Diversity in School Settings	1.00	This course contains definitions of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and the role DEI plays in the school setting. Embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion benefits everyone within a K-12 institution: faculty, staff, students, and families. Learners will reflect on the different elements of their own identity and how that impacts their perception of others. This course will also discuss the role of bias in the school setting.
Ladder Safety	0.75	This course covers safe ladder practices, common hazards when using ladders, and the proper use of different ladder types.
Observation and Assessment of the Learning Environment (CDA 7)	2.00	Research finds that the quality of a child’s early learning environment has a significant impact on his well-being and ability to learn. This course focuses on two significant aspects of environmental quality: the relationships and rich interactions that happen in the classroom, and the physical setting and learning materials. Special emphasis is placed on observation and assessment of the learning environment to make improvements and support positive outcomes for children. The course covers how professionals who work with young children can use observation and assessment as a way to support children’s development (social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and approaches to learning), inform teaching practices, enhance interactions with children, and plan activities for young children. This course is designed to be part of a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™ curriculum, and covers CDA subject area 7: Observation and Assessment. It can also be taken as a stand-alone learning event or as part of a broader early childhood education curriculum.
Team Participation: Nonverbal Communication and Active Listening	0.75	This course will focus on how to identify types of nonverbal cues and how they mesh with verbal messages, identify the characteristics of active listening and become an active listener, and respond to input in a productive manner.

Ground Cover Fires	1.50	This course is an introductory level course that introduces the basic concepts of fighting fires that involve natural ground cover. This course describes fire behaviors associated with ground cover fires, identifies the types of equipment as well as methods used to combat these fires. The lesson also identifies specific hazards associated with ground cover fires and describes methods for mitigating the risk of those hazards.
Budgeting: Reviewing Budgets	1.00	A typical budget contains information for a single year and is updated and revised periodically. Each company creates a budget that fits its unique needs. A budget can be used for many purposes, but its primary functions should be to support strategic goals and to help identify when actual results deviate from what was predicted.

Mental Health First Aid in the Classroom	1.00	A student shouts in rage, “I wish I were dead!” Is he expressing suicidal ideation? A student quickly covers cut marks over her left forearm. Should we approach her or respect her privacy? The National Alliance on Mental Illness data show that one in five adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18 will experience a severe mental illness, and only 20 percent will receive treatment. We know, then, that our students are coming to us with mental health needs that are greater than ever before. This can feel overwhelming, especially when we want to help our students achieve to their fullest potential and are not sure how to. The good news is that basic mental health first aid can offer practical, valuable tools. We don’t need to be a cardiac surgeon to perform CPR, and sometimes CPR can save a life. Similarly, we don’t have to be a licensed mental health professional to provide basic mental health first aid in the classroom.
Change Management: Obstacles to Change	0.75	This course will cover how to identify the causes of resistance and the negative reactions to change and the methods for managing them. You will also learn how to identify the causes of complacency and prepare for crisis.

Conflict and Communication: Why Can't We Be Friends?	1.00	Conflict occurs when we are in relationship with others.
