Description

This intensive 90 minute online course is designed for anyone involved in developing and conducting adult education or training programs of any kind. Participants will come away with an understanding of the key principles of effective adult education, including considerations around learning styles, the “Six Principles of Sticky Information,” and what to do - and what never to do - in your lessons and participatory activities. Participants will be actively engaged throughout the session and, by the end of it, will be able to employ an effective adult education course design method that enhances learning and leads to intended course objectives. Participants will actually practice developing more effective course objectives, core competencies, and learning objectives, and will be introduced to some key concepts around lesson planning. (Participants must actively participate in the entire 90 minute session and pass a five question quiz at the end to receive a NeighborWorks America Certificate of Successful Completion.)

This training will be led by John McCloskey, Vice President, Training and Professional Development - NeighborWorks America
