This course outlines the initial training requirements in the MLREMS policy allowing the paramedic transport of patients receiving thrombolytics such as thrombolytic mechanism of action, indications and contraindications to thrombolytic administration, side effects and adverse events that can be expected during administration of thrombolytics, interventions if an adverse event or reaction is noted, as well as the proper transfer of care and documentation.
