This U.S. Department of Education training module is designed to raise awareness of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA - 20 U.S.C. 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) and to help staff understand their responsibilities in regard to protecting student Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and other sensitive information from education records.
