Child Development: Birth to Three is intended to improve the quality of care for children ages birth to three by helping early educators understand the importance of early development and their role as a nurturer. The goal of Lesson 1: Concepts in Infant and Toddler Development is to help early childhood educators identify reasons for studying child development and to understand important concepts in the growth of development of infants and toddlers.
