The COVID-19 crisis has caused many American households to experience financial hardships including changes in income and even job loss. In addition, many of our clients qualify for various assistance programs through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) that has been established to help them navigate the financial storm. In this webinar, housing professionals will identify steps to assist a client with managing a financial crisis by creating crisis a budget, designing a process that allows for strategic decision making in the prioritization of important bills and expenses, and manage debt to further minimize financial impacts of the crisis. The content will review various resources that provide assistance to aid clients financially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will also establish methods for helping clients find ways to increase income to stabilize his or her financial situation.
