PURPOSE- The elements described in this program are designed to ensure a safe, healthy, and effective work environment for members of the Hamlin Morton Walker Fire District. This program is intended to meet or exceed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
Objectives - At the conclusion of the program the members should have at a minimum an understanding of the following: At the conclusion of the program the members should have at a minimum an understanding of the following:
• Written Respiratory Protection Program and specific Department SOGs and procedures.
• Training requirements for respiratory protection use
• Fit testing
• Inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and storage
• Medical evaluations
• Work site air monitoring; and air quality standards
• Respiratory Protection selection available.
