FY 23/24 Title VI

This lecture-based course provides the student with information regarding the intent and scope of coverage of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as correction-specific program applications to which it applies. Prohibited practices and complaint procedures are identified and policy provisions are thoroughly addressed.

Performance Objectives
Upon successful completion of this class, the participants will have:
- Identified the intent and scope of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
- Identify the Correctional program applications of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
- Identify the Corrections responsibilities in ensuring compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
