Ungulate Keeper Certification is a 12-hour Certification Workshop designed for keepers that work with ungulates.
This course will concentrate on the topics associated with the care of ungulates that were deemed most important by a survey of ungulate curators, managers and keepers and members of the AZA Ungulate TAGs. The special needs and considerations for safely managing ungulates will be explored. The quickly developing areas of welfare, enrichment and training will be highlighted. The strengths of the highly experienced staff of the Saint Louis Zoo will be utilized to demonstrate important areas of ungulate care.
