This is the assessment tool for the AAZK Elephant Care and Training Certification Workshop. The Elephant Care and Training Workshop is a 12-hour Certification Workshop designed for elephant care professionals.
This course will provide students with an overview of the many aspects of managing a proactive and comprehensive elephant care program, including: Program Overview, Medical Aspects of Elephant Care, Adult and Calf Training, Pre-Emergency Preparation, Enrichment and Elephant Welfare. On Zoo day, students will observe the highly experienced Saint Louis Zoo Elephant Care Team managing a three-generational family of 1.9 Asian Elephants (workshop participants are required to have been TB tested in the previous 12 months).
