Welcome to Food Allergies: Basics and Emergency Response. This course presents the American Academy of Pediatrics' recommendations and other national best practices for caring for children with food allergies. You will learn about what happens during an allergic reaction, along with the symptoms and triggers of food allergies. You will also learn how to use a Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan to care for a child with a food allergy.
