"" Family-Teacher Relationships (CDA 4) 2.00 How do you view the families of the children in your classroom? If you were to generate a list of words to describe families, what kinds of positive and negative feelings would they convey? When we see ourselves as partners with the families we serve, the quality of care and nurturing children receive is greatly enhanced. Establishing such partnerships and building relationships is our responsibility. Communication strategies, such as practicing active listening, are key to this process. In this course, participants will describe the importance and benefits of establishing meaningful relationships with families and identify strategies for establishing meaningful relationships. This course is designed to be part of a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™ curriculum. It covers CDA Subject Area 4: Strategies to Establish Productive Relationships with Families. This course can also be taken as a stand-alone learning event, or as part of a broader early childhood education curriculum.
Driving Safety Off-Road Vehicles 1.50 This course teaches participants that defensive driving applies not only to licensed vehicles such as cars and trucks, but also to unlicensed vehicles such as golf carts and gators. Participants will learn guidelines for use of service carts, proper driving and operating procedures, how to carry loads, and precautions to take for pedestrians and driving at night.

"" Project Management Essentials: Activities and Dependencies 0.75 This course will focus on how to identify project activities and recognize the types of project activities and the categories of dependencies and dependency relationships, analyze activities by creating an activity analysis form, and estimate the time duration and cost of project activities.
"" Project Management Essentials: Project Scheduling 1.25 This course will focus on how to develop a project schedule by using CPM, PERT, project network diagrams, arrow charting, and Gantt charts and how to dentify the benefits of CPM and PERT, the critical path, and the methods of duration compression.
"" Project Management Essentials: Project Change Control 0.75 This course will focus on how to define project change control and how to identify the steps in accommodating the changes in a project.
Supporting Family Caregivers of Older Adults 0.50 The purpose of this course is to describe the importance of supporting family caregivers of older adults. Specifically, content will describe ways to identify the needs of different family caregiver systems by conducting a caregiver assessment. The core elements of a family caregiver assessment will be reviewed.

PPE Care and Maintenance 1.00 This course describes the required care and maintenance necessary to keep your personal protective equipment in service and able to afford you the highest level of protection. The objective is to promote competency in personal protective equipment inspection procedures based on NFPA 1851 standards. Students should also familiarize themselves with agency guidelines, policies, procedures, and best practices for documenting and reporting concerns with issued personal protective equipment.
Electrical Safety 0.75 This course covers OSHA’s role and standards regarding electrical safety/hazards, defines the basic fundamentals of electricity, identifies and recognizes safety hazards, and describes protection methods against electrical hazards.
