Indiana Out-of-School Academy

Indiana Afterschool Network (IAN) has partnered with Child Care Aware and CypherWorx to create the Indiana Academy for Out-of-School Learning. The IN Academy is an online Professional Development system specifically designed for out-of-school time youth professionals. You’ll find 54 modules dedicated specifically for afterschool youth workers, as well as hundreds of other modules on topics such as Education and Compliance, Nonprofit and Management, and more.

How does the IN Academy fit into IAN’s quality tools and the myIAN website?

myIAN is Indiana Afterschool Network’s (IAN) new location designed specifically for OST youth workers who want to improve quality programs in Indiana! myIAN houses the IN-QPSA (IN Quality Program Self-Assessment) and My Afterschool Locker. What modules align with the Child and Youth Care (CYC) Worker Certification?

Are Continuing Education Units (CEUs) offered?

Yes, CEUs are provided for these courses. Please view details of the course to determine how many CEUs are awarded.

How long do I have to complete the course?

You will have access to your training for one year from your purchase date.

How do I get a completion certificate when I finish a course?

After completing a course, go to My Courses and find the completed course. There will be a "Certificate" button where you can view your certificate.

Once I start a course, do I need to finish it before I log out?

You can log out at any time during the course, the system will bookmark (remember) where you stopped. When you reenter the course, it will start where you last left off.
