Welcome to the Health & Safety modules for the School Readiness Program!

We are excited you are here and interested in learning more about health and safety in childcare settings.


All providers and personnel participating in the School Readiness Program are required to complete specific pre-service training, as outlined by Rule 6M-4.620, F.A.C. The below modules satisfy the pre-service training requirements for the School Readiness Program:


  1. Health & Sanitation
  2. Safety in the Environment
  3. Precautions in Transporting Children
  4. Safe Sleep Practices
  5. Child Safety and Prevention
  6. Planning for Emergencies
  7. Preventing Child Abuse and Supporting Children in Trauma
  8. Supporting the Social-Emotional Development of (choose one)
  9. Infants & Toddlers
  10. Preschool Children
  11. Mixed Age Groupings


At the conclusion of all 8 modules, you will receive 1.2 IACET (International Association for Continuing Education And Training) CEUs (Continuing Education Units). Please be sure to download and save the certification of completion for each module in your personal files. These certificates will ensure you are able to demonstrate compliance with pre-service training requirements for the School Readiness Program. You may also print a copy of your transcript as documentation.
