Unfortunately, statistics show that far too many children are the subjects of abuse. Child care workers and volunteers, coaches, and others who work with children must be knowledgeable about the topic to ensure children’s safety. This course is designed to better enable you to: Recognize and identify child abuse; Understand the status of being a mandated reporter, and its responsibilities; Know what to do—and what not to do—when you suspect child abuse is occurring or when it is disclosed to you; Understand and comply with the process of reporting suspected child abuse.
