EMS frequently responds to calls for medical assistance, typically involving a single patient. EMS less frequently responds to large incidents involving fire-fighting, rescue, and other large-scale operations requiring medical support of responders as part of a larger command system. This course serves as an introduction for new EMS officers, and first arriving EMS personnel, to the responsibilities of EMS Command and Control at incidents of any size or type as they relate to rehabilitation of all emergency service providers.
