This is the instructor-led portion of what is now a two-part course to meet the regional requirements for ALS preceptors and agency requirements for many local BLS agencies. Both the online and live courses are REQUIRED to complete the regional MLREMS requirements for all ALS preceptors.
There are two prerequisites to attend this instructor-led online classroom session:
1. You must first complete the following online Cypherworx course, available in the Course Catalog as: MLREMS Preceptor Training
Upon successful completion of the online course, you will then be able to reserve your seat in the course by registering on the events calendar
2. You must complete and submit the results of a brief personality test using the following link: https://www.personalityperfect.com/test/free-personality-test/
Once complete, have the results emailed to yourself by clicking on the “email results” button.
Upload a copy of those results into the Additional Training section of Cypherworx (under Admin Tools on left margin)
Your seat will be confirmed pending receipt of those results. (Review your results PRIOR to the preceptor class)
This course is limited to the first 25 providers who register and complete the required prerequisites.
Following your acceptance, If you are unable to attend, please call or email the Division of Prehospital Medicine no later than 72 hours before the class is scheduled to begin. We typically have a substantial wait list for this class and want other providers to have the opportunity to attend in your place. Anyone who is a no call/no show for this class may not be immediately eligible to attend future classes.
Division of Prehospital Medicine: 585-463-2900 or DPM@URMC.Rochester.edu
PLEASE NOTE: There is an additional online module for anyone who wishes to precept students of the Monroe Community College Paramedic program. That module is NOT a prerequisite for this classroom session, nor is it required to become a MLREMS regional preceptor. However, to be a preceptor for Monroe Community College, you MUST be a credentialed MLREMS regional preceptor.
