Who is it for?
Parents or caregivers who are interested in understanding how anxiety works in the brain, how to support their school-aged child in managing general anxiety, and addressing specific child worries as they relate to schooling.
What is covered?
In this workshop, parents are introduced to the core concepts of anxiety and steps to managing anxiety, including:
• Understanding how thoughts, behaviors and feelings influence anxiety
• The relationship between anxiety, stress, and distress
• What a caregiver can do to help a child manage their anxiety
• Developing routines and strategies to help reduce test anxiety
