Pediatric Respiratory Emergencies
This is a Virtual lecture
NYC Health + Hospitals (Kings County and Bellevue Hospitals) and Town of Wallkill EMS invite you to a focused presentation on the treatment of pediatric respiratory emergencies. We will learn about the nuances of pediatric anatomy & physiology, disease epidemiology, and we will explore the myths vs. facts of treatment. We will also discuss causes of common respiratory etiologies, submersion injuries (e.g., drowning), neurologic disorders of breathing, followed by brief case reviews. Our guest speaker is Dr. Mike Chernichaw, MD, MPH, CAQ-HP, CHWS, FP-C, CIC, a Physician at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and a Paramedic.
