Description

Everyone has a racial story that matters. Dive into your racial identity journey at the Lion’s Story Introduction to Racial Literacy Workshop! How have some of your first experiences with race and difference shaped you and your professional role? Join us for an engaging 3-hour in-person session where Senior Lion’s Story Trainers guide participants to explore and increase racial literacy.

What is Racial Literacy— the ability to read, recast, and resolve racially stressful interactions and narratives. Once registered, you can learn more about read, recast, and resolve, in the toolkit. Lion’s Story is a 501c3 nonprofit that helps individuals and organizations across the nation learn and use the skills to have productive conversations about race. Participants will learn what it means to be racially literate in a safe, open environment. You’ll learn practical applications that help work through racially stressful encounters and will have discussions with Lion’s Story trainers and with other participants in workshops and group trainings.

Breakfast and lunch will be served!
