Who is it for?
Parents or caregivers, with children up to 5 years, with the goal of enhancing early literacy activities in daily home routines.
What is covered?
The Ready, Set, Go Miami! and The Children’s Trust –Parent Club initiative invites families and caregivers of young children of all abilities to engage in activities that promote and develop healthy early literacy skills in daily life. During Storytelling Station, we aimed to achieve the following:
Explore the ways that shared reading experiences both with and without a book support language development and early literacy skills. Examples of activities and strategies that increase comprehension, participation, interest in reading, and vocabulary will be shared. The goal is to spark ideas to enrich shared reading experiences.
