Description

A Rescue Task Force (RTF) is a specialized unit trained to respond to emergencies, often involving high-risk scenarios where immediate action is required to save lives and mitigate damage. The RTF is commonly used in contexts like natural disasters, terrorist attacks, or large-scale accidents.

The Rescue Task Force (RTF) for EMS course provides EMS practitioners with tools and techniques to save civilian lives through the application of RTF and Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) principles.

Instructors will lead discussion on several topics, including a TECC overview, working within the RTF model, and Casualty Collection Point (CCP) management. Students will apply lessons learned in the classroom to skill lanes, including rescue task force movement, hemorrhage control and triage skills. The workshop will culminate in several scenario based activities that will incorporate rescue task force movement, TECC principles, warm zone operations, CCP management, life-saving medical interventions, and collaboration with

law enforcement.

Topics Include

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, Rescue Task Force Movement, Life-Saving Medical Interventions, Triage, and Scenario-Based Activities
